After your arrival to the Old City of Dubrovnik, one the world’s most beautiful destinations, and some introductory sight-seeing. Secondly, we will board an old Jadrolinija ferry to the Elaphiti Islands archipelago. Elaphitis are a group of 13 islands, one of which being Sipan, our base.

The island of Sipan, with somewhere around 400 inhabitants, being the largest one in the archipelago, has two villages, Luka Sipanska and Sudurad. Besides being a small, quaint village, it is also representing a fascinating mixture of architecture, flora and culture. Furthermore, small stone houses protected by their terracotta roofs will win your hearts at first sight.

Equally important, we will be exploring many small chapels on the island. There are over 30 churches and chapels on the island for us to explore. Our expedition will take us in our kayaks around the entire Sipan island, the uninhabited islands of Jakljan and Olipa. Last, the famous Lopud island and a short trip to the mainland where the oldest arboretum in the region awaits for us, in the village of Trsteno.

Consequently, local people are the hidden gem of this small island in Southern Dalmatia. Their stories, their lives are an encyclopedia where. For instance, if we listen carefully, we can learn so much about the old ways of life, how fishing has changed and what happens when the world comes to you.
