The highlights of montenegro: Multisport
TIPS AND TRICKS
As you arrive in Dubrovnik, your journey starts with a 2h drive following the coastal road to the bay of Kotor. Even before you manage to absorb the beauties of the submerged river canyon that people often compare to the Norwegian fjords, we are visiting Lovčen national park.
What comes next is a place of many cultures and history, surrounded by fortifications built during the Venetian period. The old city of Kotor – a UNESCO world heritage site. An amazing medieval town located between two mountains forms a unique Mediterranean landscape.
Following our Highlights Montenegro Tour, we continue with our expedition and head north, towards the Tara river canyon. Being the deepest canyon in Europe, and second deepest canyon in the world, right after the Grand Canyon, Tara river is definitely a breath-taking destination.
Deep down, in the bottom of the canyon, our riverside camps awaits, hidden from the world. Here we will be exploring the canyon on a raft, bicycle and in a jeep. As much as our location is unique, something else will catch our attention as well. The traditional cuisine, the recipes that our local hosts have been nurturing through many generations so they can be ready to fill our stomachs after all of our adventures in the canyon. Last, but not least – Durmitor national park is waiting for us. After being in the lowest point of Montenegro, you are heading Durmitor so you can climb up to the highest peak of Montenegro – Bobotov kuk. Montenegro is a truly unique country. Welcome, world.
